Leadership Confidence is on the Rise

For the first time since running the leadership pulse study, which started in 2003, leadership confidence is on the rise (report coming soon).

While confidence in the economy was down, confidence in leadership teams, ability to execute on vision, that firms have the right people and skills, and other inward-focused confidence trends headed upward. Leader energy also went up and moved in a more positive direction. There are two lessons to be learned from these data and the ongoing study of confidence. Both will be discussed in the April webinar.

First, the high sense of urgency brought on by the economy has resulted in a greater focus in many organizations. Second, this same urgent need to change also has led leaders to look elsewhere for insights and information, and the result has been a general humbling effect for only the more successful firms.
