TERRI RYAN is Manager, Human Resources, for the Dreyer's Ice Cream division of Nestlé USA. In this role, she serves as HR business partner to the division's corporate functions which include marketing, category management, shopper marketing, pricing, legal, and HR. Terri has a deep interest in how structures, processes, and data create competitive advantage. In this age of relentless change, she hopes the HCEO program will equip her with knowledge and tools that she can use to help her organization achieve success by design, not just by luck. Terri earned a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in HR and minor in psychology from San Jose State University, then a PHR from SHRM, and is working on an MS in HR Management at Golden Gate University.
KUAN-THYE SEAN is Managing Director, China Human Resources and Asia Pacific Human Resources Shared Services Center for FedEx. Based in Shanghai, Kuan-Thye sets HR strategy and oversees the HR function for China and the 11 countries served by the APAC HR Shared Services Center. She is passionate about HR transformation in the Asia Pacific region, and is a huge fan of the work done by Ed, John, and all the CEO researchers. Originally from Singapore, she earned a BA and an MS in Asia Pacific HR Management from the National University of Singapore, then an MBA from Kellogg-Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Just recently, Kuan-Thye received the good news that she's been accepted into a research-based Doctorate in Business Administration program at the City University of Hong Kong. She will be dividing her time between her responsibilities at FedEx and her doctorate program beginning this September.
