Event FAQ

Can I pay at the door?
Payment in advance is required.

What types of payment do you take?
We take checks (payable to the University of Southern California). We also accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Space is provided on the registration form for your credit card information.

Will you send me a registration confirmation?
Regardless of your method of registration (online, mail, or fax), you will get an email confirmation which serves as your receipt. If you do not receive a confirmation within 2 weeks of submitting your registration form, we may not have received it. Please contact the Center for Effective Organizations at 213-740-9814 to confirm your registration.

What happens if I have to cancel my registration?

  • Cancellations before the registration deadine: a cancellation fee of $200 is charged ($250.00 for Strategic Organization Design; $500.00 for Advanced Topics in Organization Design)
  • Cancellations after the deadline, and up to approximately 10 days before the start of the seminar: 50% of the registration fee will be refunded OR it may be possible to roll over your entire registration fee. To find out about possibility of rolling over your registration fee, you must speak directly with the seminar program manager.
  • Cancellations less than 10 days before the start of the seminar and no-shows: registration fees are non-refundable.

NOTE: Additional cancellation guidelines may apply to the Strategic Organization Design Workshop and the Advanced Topics in Organization Design Workshop. Please speak directly with the program manager.

Can I attend only one day? Will the cost be adjusted?
We do not offer single-day registration for our seminars.

Are meals included in the price of the workshop?
We provide a continental breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea and snacks throughout the days of the seminar. Some seminars also provide cocktails and dinner. Please check the seminar itinerary for details. If you have any dietary guidelines, please contact the seminar's program manager at least two weeks in advance so that we can try to accommodate you.

How do I make hotel reservations?
Participants are responsible for handling their own hotel reservations (and cancellations). A special hotel room rate is available for each seminar. The special room rate is available on a first-come, first-served basis until the room block has been filled. Please see the specific seminar page for reservation details.

What is the recommended attire?
Dress for the conference is casual and comfortable.
