Effectiveness of Management Approaches
Ed Lawler and John Boudreau discuss the effectiveness of five different approaches to management: bureaucratic, low-cost operator, high involvement, global competitor and sustainable. They all have some features in common but as overall all management approaches, they differ significantly both in their assumptions about how people should be managed and in many of the practices that organizations who adopt them utilize.
