SUMMARY:EEN Session: Longer-run trends and fire fighting challenges in 2023
DESCRIPTION:Longer-run trends and fire fighting challenges in 2023\nSession Leader: Alec Levenson\nThursday January 19\, 20238:00am PT / 11:00am ET / 4:00pm GMT\nAs we close the book on 2022\, and 2023 gets going in earnest\, our first EEN session of the year will be an open dialogue check-in on the following topics: \n\nHow are things going with Covid-19 and back to work / hybrid? Have you solved all the challenges you were facing in 2022? What would you like to learn or hear about from your EEN colleagues in other organizations?\nWhat’s the mood like among your frontline employees/staff\, your professional/technical people\, and your leadership? Are people feeling good about the direction of the business given the uncertain macroeconomic environment? What kinds of topics are keeping them up at night?\n\nIn preparation for the session\, please submit your ideas for topics that fit into this general framework. We won’t be able to cover all of them in this first session\, but will plan future sessions based on the conversation on January 19 and the input we receive. So please share whatever is top of mind for you and your leadership. For example\, here are topics that were recently proposed: \n\nHow to address pay transparency and the increasing incidents of government mandates?\nHow can we support senior executives on what and how they comment on issues outside of the business\, and the backlash against “woke” CEOs?\nWhat are the skills and capabilities we need to source and develop in leaders as teams become increasingly diverse across all dimensions?\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Contact Us to Join EEN Meetings\n \n Learn more about EEN\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n SPEAKER\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n ALEC R. SUMMARY:People Analytics and Change Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:This masterclass addresses the current challenges facing HR Business Partners\, People Analytics (PA) and Organization Development (OD). Currently\, PA and OD are organized and implemented as separate spheres of expertise\, with HRBPs drawing from both to help in their work. The problem for the business and HR is that this disjointed approach leaves tremendous value on the table\, impacting strategy execution and organizational effectiveness. What we need is a more integrated approach to reveal actionable insights and produce meaningful change. \nAll three groups have substantial room for improvement in their current practice: \n\nHRBPs are stretched too thin to effectively use the best insights from both PA and OD.\nOD needs to make better use of data and measurement in the process of diagnosing systems challenges and driving change.\nPeople Analytics needs to be more closely aligned and integrated with the interpersonal and change work of OD and the HRBPs.\n\nThis workshop provides tools\, frameworks and insights for all three groups to improve practice and business impact\, including the following modules: \n\nTurn data into C Suite decision making: Analytics efforts too often focus on finding facts to demonstrate “objective” realities in the org system without ensuring they resonate with the right audience. This module shows how to influence and drive the right interpretation of the data from the business leaders’ perspective\, not just factual presentations of statistical analyses.\nIntegrate analytics and OD to activate successful org change and transformation: Successful change requires the right mix of process\, measurement and action. Combine the best data and measurement tools from the analytics world\, with the dynamic tools and frameworks used by OD to diagnose\, guide and deliver organizational change and transformation programs that work.\nTactics to engage senior business leaders: Deploying the right mix of OD plus analytics to engage key stakeholders and decision makers is both art and science. This module shows how to strike the right balance to achieve maximum results.\nConduct org diagnostics using qualitative and quantitative analysis: Classic analytics approaches rely too heavily on analyzing and collecting data from individuals\, rather than the teams and org units where the business and strategic outcomes are realized. Comprehensive org diagnostics of the drivers of business performance require a combination of case study and systems analytics.\n\nThe masterclass will also include a review of cutting edge and advanced analytics techniques to clarify\, for both analytics and non-analytics professionals: \n\nWhat the techniques are good for\, and their limitations\nHow best to apply them on their own\, versus in conjunction with other measurement\, diagnosis and change approaches\n\nExamples of the techniques and issues to be addressed include machine learning\, network analysis\, advanced survey design and analysis\, and identifying economic relevance rather than just statistical significance. \nWho should attend\n\nHR business partners\nPeople analytics professionals\nOD professionals\n\nMasterclass faculty\nThe masterclass is taught by three highly respected thought and practice leaders in the HR\, analytics and OD communities. They bring over four decades of experience solving organizational performance and change challenges in leading companies: \n\nAlec Levenson\, Senior Research Scientist\, Center for Effective Organizations\nMaura Stevenson\, Chief Human Resources Officer\, MedVet\nPaul Taffinder\, Taffinder Consulting\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Agenda\n \n Register Here\n \n \n \n ONLINE EVENT\nJan 31\, Feb 2\, 6\, 8\, 15 & 16 (2023) 8am – 11am PT / 11am – 2pm ET\nEach day the sessions will run for 3 hours\, with a 30 minute break after 90 minutes (so 90 minutes; break for 30; then back for another 60 minutes) \n \n \n \n SPEAKERS:\nAlec Levenson\nMaura Stevenson\nPaul Taffinder\n \n \n \n Registration Deadline\nJanuary 23\, 2023 \nPricing\nNon-Sponsor: $2\,650 Sponsor: $2\,250 \nDiscount\nTeams of 3 or more people from the same company who register at the same time receive a  discount.
