CEO research has taken a comprehensive look at the development of pay strategies and performance management systems in organizations. CEO’s research projects have focused on the use of merit pay, performance management systems, the evaluation of group performance, and the effectiveness of output-based pay and gainsharing plans, skill-based pay, and stock-based pay plans.

A second focus has been on executive compensation. All our surveys of corporate board members have asked about executive compensation amounts and determinants.
