Jamie Lorio is a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility (DEIA) Advisor within the Department of Defense. His over 25 years in federal employment include hands-on experience in national security missions, DEI, and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). His strengths come from multi-cultural experience both professionally and personally – having lived and worked in various parts of the U.S., Europe, Central America, Middle East, and South Asia. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Strategic Intelligence.

In his capacity as a DEIA Advisor, Jamie is responsible for oversight of a multitude of ERG leaders and members as part of an Inclusion Council, as well as a newly developed DEI Ambassador program. He is also a key partner in developing and supporting Armed Service representatives in cooperation and coordination within ERG’s. The intent and purpose of his leadership is to ensure those involved understand their charge, coordinate DEI/ERG strategies and actions for outcomes. This enables engagement with Senior Leaders and other to ensure alignment with the Inclusion Council, business practices, employee issues, and overall environment and culture demands.
