John Guttery is senior vice president of Enterprise Initiatives for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and vital resources. He leads enterprise-wide projects that advance the company’s corporate priorities and create future growth platforms.

His recent initiatives include transforming the company’s organizational structure to empower decision making closer to the customer and accelerate international growth, driving procurement and supply chain synergies related to the spinoff of Ecolab’s Upstream Energy business; leading initiatives to develop women and minority-owned suppliers and partnerships, and managing Ecolab’s involvement in the Techstars Farm-to-Fork Accelerator to identify, develop and invest in startups disrupting food systems.

John has served in a variety of senior leadership roles at Ecolab, including head of the Latin America region and head of Marketing for the Institutional division, which serves the foodservice, hospitality and facility care segments. Guttery joined Ecolab in 2015 as senior vice president of Strategic Planning.

Prior to Ecolab, he spent fifteen years with the Hilti Group, a global leader in solutions for the construction, natural resources and power sectors, in a variety of international sales, marketing and general management leadership roles.

John is a founding member of Ecolab’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, and is executive sponsor of the company’s employee resource group supporting Latino and Hispanic cultures. He serves on the board of directors of Global Minnesota, a leading chapter of The World Affairs Council.

John holds an MBA from The University of Houston and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from St. Edward’s University.
