Dr. Farrah Graves Purifoy is the manager of Employee Experience Programs and Operations in the Talent Center of Excellence at Entergy Corporation, where she leads enterprise strategies to strengthen employee experience, advance workforce engagement, and connect workplace culture to business performance. Her work includes developing Entergy’s employee experience strategy, helping leaders identify and remove workplace friction, and positioning Employee Resource Groups as strategic partners that bring valuable employee insight to organizational challenges.
Purifoy is an accomplished Human Resources professional with more than 25 years of progressive experience at Entergy. She has built her career by translating complex employee and organizational needs into practical strategies that support people and improve the way work gets done. Her experience spans employee experience, enterprise health, workforce strategy, change management, talent strategy, leadership development, employee engagement, communications, and inclusion.
Purifoy began her Entergy career in the company’s customer service organization, where she served customers directly before advancing into supervisory leadership. She later transitioned into Human Resources, holding roles in organizational health and workforce strategies before moving into her current leadership position. Her progression from the front lines to enterprise Human Resources gives her a distinctive understanding of how leadership decisions, workplace systems, and organizational culture are experienced at every level of a company.
In addition to her work at Entergy, Purifoy serves as an adjunct faculty member at Jackson State University, where she brings contemporary workplace challenges into the classroom and helps students connect academic theory with real-world leadership practice. She teaches courses in organization development, ethical processes in the workforce, and principle-centered leadership.
Purifoy holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Baker College, a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Tougaloo College. She is a Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management and a PROSCI Certified Change Practitioner. She has also completed professional development in change leadership through Cornell University and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s equity program.
At the heart of Purifoy’s work is the belief that creating a better place to work is not separate from achieving business results; it is one of the ways organizations achieve them.
