Beyond her corporate career, Kathy is the Founder and Executive Director of Friends in Action Youth Leadership, a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing future leaders from youth through young adulthood. She is also a published author, having co-authored a book (Imagine if… I could calm a storm) with her son that recounts their experiences surrounding Hurricane Katrina and highlights how a single act of helping someone can change the course of a life.
Kathy is passionate about helping people discover their potential and believes that everyone, regardless of where they sit within an organization, has the ability to lead, inspire, and make a meaningful impact. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Jerry, to whom she has been married for 30 years, and is the proud mother of two adult sons.
