NICHOLE J. THOMPSON is a SVP and Diversity & Inclusion Manager, responsible for enabling the global inclusion strategy. Partnering with the Head of Global Employee Networks, Women & Underrepresented Segments, D&I Awards, to drive the end-to-end strategy of inclusion efforts up, down, and across the organization. Nichole develops and implements key strategic inclusion initiatives while partnering with stakeholders in the Global Diversity and Inclusion Organization, Local Markets Organization, Market HR, and Lines of Business to steer integration, drive process improvements, and elevate impact.
Nichole’s career in financial services spans over 24 years and began as a call center personal banker with NationsBank in February of 2000. Since then, she has held various roles in sales management, operations management, process design, project/program management, and strategy execution.
Prior to her current role, Nichole led execution of the global strategy for our 11 Employee Networks with more than 117k members in thirty-seven countries. Before that, she was a Sr. Project Manager, responsible for leading a team of Change Managers to stand up the Bank of America Merchant Services Organization through execution of critical strategic initiatives. She is a proven creative, strategic thought leader, and change agent focused on innovation and delivering positive employee and customer experiences.
Nichole was the Enterprise Co-Chair for the Black Professional Group (BPG) from September 2017 through June of 2021, and was instrumental in the foundational rebuild of BPG Enterprise which drives strategic priorities for BPG nationally, while overseeing and supporting BPG chapters across the United States. In 2018, Nichole created the BPG/BELC Power of 10 Program which piloted in 2019. Since then, the Enterprise Program has engaged 1,000+ Black Professional Group members in professional development programming and exposure opportunities.
Nichole graduated from Columbia Southern University (CSU) with a major in Organizational Leadership. She lives in Richmond, Virginia with her husband Thomas of 18 years, and the youngest of their five children, Kennedi who is 14.
