Serena H. Huang

Affiliate Research Scientist
Founder of Data with Serena and Enterprise AI Transformation Leader

Dr. Serena H. Huang is the founder of Data with Serena and an enterprise AI transformation leader focused on helping F500 organizations move from GenAI experimentation to measurable, enterprise-wide impact. She is also an Affiliate Research Scientist at the Center for Effective Organizations.

She brings over a decade of experience leading People Analytics and AI initiatives at PayPal, GE, and Kraft Heinz, where she designed and deployed evidence-based interventions across large, complex, and often regulated global environments.

A central focus of her work is diagnosing where AI programs break down in practice, whether in governance design, user experience friction, unclear ownership, or lack of alignment between technological capability and work processes. She helps organizations identify and address these friction points before they limit adoption.

She is the author of The Inclusion Equation: Leveraging Data & AI for Organizational Diversity and Well-being (Wiley, 2025), and her work has been featured in Fast Company, Barron’s, MarketWatch, Yahoo Tech, CNET, and the Chicago Tribune.

She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Kansas, where her research focused on high-skilled immigration and labor market dynamics, funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
