Terri Griffith is a Professor of Management & Entrepreneurship in Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business. She also serves on the Human Team for Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, Inc., and has been honored as a Silicon Valley Women of Influence. Her experience and expertise is unique, crossing organizational behavior and design, information technology design and use, and change management from industries ranging from engineering to agribusiness. This allows her to come up to speed quickly with problems and opportunities and then work creatively with organizations to find effective steps forward.
Terri’s passion is understanding how new and old technologies, organizational practices, and people’s skills can be woven together to achieve strategic and performance targets today — and how to learn from the results so tomorrow’s performance is even better.
Her award-winning book, The Plugged-In Manager: Get in Tune with Your People, Technology, and Organization to Thrive, offers clear examples and frameworks for succeeding now and in the future — not just leadership, not just technology, but a powerful combination that leverages all your resources. Her academic research, blog, Technology and Organizations, and freelance work (Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review Blog, Women 2.0, MIT’s Sloan Management Review) let her share organizational trends and the stories of leaders who bring them to life.
She holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley. Her M.S. and Ph.D. (organizational psychology and theory) are from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
