Anila Jivanji serves as the Director of Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Belonging (DEIB) at Cetera. Most recently she was at Bell where she was involved with building a sound ecosystem for DEIB and a strategy that aligned with the company goals.While at Bell, she worked closely with the ERGs building a foundation with a structure and governance setting them for success.
At American Airlines she gained diverse experience in human resources, global sales strategy and analytics, account management, and customer experience training. In her last role at American Airlines, Anila was the Inclusion and Diversity Senior Specialist responsible for developing and growing external partnerships, employee business resource group coordination, diversity advisory council leadership, and inclusion and diversity programing and project management.
She is the recipient of the Earl Graves Award for advocacy in Diversity, Inclusion and Equity, as well as the American Airlines Chairman Award of Excellence in 2016 for her exemplary commitment and dedication in advancing the inclusion and diversity narrative at American Airlines while supporting the vision and company imperatives.
She also is also the Executive Vice President for Ascend North Texas a non-profit organization invested in growth of Pan Asian professionals.
Anila continues to serve underrepresented groups through affiliations with organizations like North Texas Disability:IN; Advisory Board of Elevate, Spectrum Knowledge, and Global Champions for Out & Equal. Anila is an ardent advocate and supporter of the Ms. Wheelchair organization by making lucrative introductions and strengthening the network.
She believes that ERGs are pivotal in transforming work cultures. She is a contributor to the Global ERG Network (GEN) and has presented workshops and has provided support to Talent Dimensions as a subject matter expert.
