Evan Smith has been in and around public safety for 8 years. Starting as a 911 dispatcher in Durham, North Carolina, Evan has handled everything from the birth of 2 babies to solving a murder, and lots of interesting stories in between. In 2017 she started working for CentralSquare Technologies training 911-dispatchers to use their software. Around 2020, Evan began wondering what else was out there for her professionally, and took a chance with CST’s bourgeoning Employee Resource Groups, who were seeking a program manager. In the last two years she has engaged with the most wonderful coworkers and now friends helping elevate one simple mission – for everyone to be able to come to work as their authentic selves. Outside of work, she is a an animal, coffee, and book enthusiast.
