Justin Hastings

Chief Human Resources Officer
Experian North America

Job description

Justin is the Chief HR Officer for Experian North America, responsible for leading the talent agenda and HR function for the region.

Experian job history

HR Director, UK & Ireland
Chief Human Resources Officer, North America

Accomplishments

Led the creation of UK flexible benefits – employee salary sacrifice health and dental plans, and the ability to buy / sell vacation days. This led to a marked improvement in employee perception of reward and benefits. Introduced an Emerging Leader Programme across the UK & Ireland region to identify a deeper pipeline of future leaders and succession candidates, subsequently developed across other regions.

In North America, Justin has driven a focus on ‘offence & defence’ into the region’s talent practices – building improved insight into external and competitor talent, whilst focusing on Experian’s must-keep talent. Regretted attrition has reduced from 17% to 11% since the end of 2015. High performer attrition has reduced to less than 6%.

Justin also led the global HR workstream on the Cross-Channel Marketing divestment.

Prior work experience

Justin started his career at BT in marketing and product management roles, later moving into HR. He held several HR leadership positions there, latterly as VP HR for BT Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. In 2009 Justin moved to Logica, initially as HR Director for Logica International, then moving on to become Group Organizational Development Director. He joined Experian in January 2013.
