Miguel Rocha leads and supports seven business resource groups at Mortenson including AAPI, Black BRG, Building with Pride, Latinos Unidos, Mosaic, Vets, and Women. Additionally, he serves as a leader for Mortenson’s DEI Champions and National Outreach Partners that includes GWIC (Groundbreaking Women in Construction), NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers), SASE (Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers), SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers), and SWE (Society of Women Engineers). Prior to Mortenson, Miguel was Global Diversity Talent Strategy Lead at 3M where his responsibilities were to create and lead implementation of programming to increase the recruitment, advancement and retention of underrepresented talent. He also served as a knowledgeable consultant in DEI, identifying, building, and managing solutions to support change throughout the organization. Additionally, Miguel served as the Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Segment Lead for the African American, Asian and Hispanic segments and business resource groups.

Miguel’s community involvement includes the Board of Directors for CLUES, HBCU Make It. MSP Engagement Team, ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals For America), NABA (National Association of Black Accountants), Ascend (Pan-Asian Leaders), NAAAP (National Association of Asian American Professionals), Breakthrough Twin Cities, Ideation for the Minnesota Orchestra (Musica Juntos), Juvenile Justice Advocates International (judicial support for youth in Mexico), and Co-Chair for the Carlson Alumni of Color Network.
