Sharon is a VP, Senior Academy Manager within the Academy for Global Human Resources at Bank of America. In her role, she is charged with elevating Diversity & Inclusion learning in-market inclusion series focused on driving awareness for D&I behaviors. Sharon is also responsible for furthering the bank’s vision of being a great place to work by fostering an environment where all employees feel they can achieve their goals.

Sharon is also a workstream lead for The Academy Onboarding, Education & Development Integration work and the Academy manager supporting the GHR Academy, Employee Relations organization (ER), Employee Networks & Women and Underrepresented Talent Group, Women Ready to Lead and the GHR Global Diversity & Inclusion Organization. In her role, she partners with multiple Lines of Business to create programs, events, and courses to drive employee engagement and satisfaction, career development, and professional networking.

Since joining Bank of America in 2006, Sharon has focused on assisting others in reaching their full potential and achieving their career ambitions. She consults with teams across the bank to design and implement learning solutions in support of Diversity & Inclusion, bank acquisitions, transition projects, and application development.

Sharon is passionate about empowering her colleagues and community through numerous volunteer efforts. She serves as a Lead Champion for North Texas Better Money Habits and as the Community Relations Manager for Hope’s Door, a non-profit assisting women and children seeking refuge from domestic violence. Sharon also volunteers with VNA Meals on Wheels and actively participates with Bank of America’s Women Ready to Lead Program, Peer Circle Advisor for Next Level Leader Program, LEAD for Women, Black Professional Group (BPG) and is a member of the Leadership team for North Texas Bank of America Community Volunteers (BACCV).

Sharon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Prairie View A&M University and a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from The Ohio State University.

Sharon currently resides in Prosper, TX with her husband, Thomas. In her spare time, Sharon enjoys shopping, spending time with her family, and being active in her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.
