The focus of CEO’s leadership research is on the organizational context in which leaders work and on their development. Instead of focusing solely on individual personalities, our research examines the organizational systems, processes, and structures that organizations can use to more effectively develop their leadership talent. CEO’s leadership research is designed to generate hard and useful data about an important subject that is typically addressed anecdotally or impressionistically. Our research topics include executive and managerial leadership development, coaching, 360 degree feedback, executive derailment, CEO behavior, leadership dynamics among top teams, talent management’s role in leadership development, the role of leadership in shaping organizational performance, and the optimal way to use competency modeling and systems.
