Yet the competing demands of the HRBP role – strategic partner, change agent, employee champion, and administrative expert – continue to pull these frontline leaders in too many directions, often at the expense of the most important, long-term business priorities.
Despite the immediate impacts of keeping business operations going during the pandemic, HRBPs today face a critical challenge of defining and implementing the important talent agenda for business leaders. That means dealing with an ever increasing need to demonstrate value and commercial insight and ensuring that the largely tactical, administrative functions become a relic of the past.
