Following three years of pandemic and economic disruptions, HR and the business need HR Business Partners (HRBPs) more than ever to focus on what matters for the business. Yet the competing demands of the HRBP role – strategic partner, change agent, employee champion, and administrative expert – continue to pull these frontline leaders in too many directions, often at the expense of the most important, long-term business priorities.
Despite the immediate impacts of keeping business operations going during the pandemic, HRBPs today face a critical challenge of defining and implementing the important talent agenda for business leaders. That means dealing with an ever increasing need to demonstrate value and commercial insight and ensuring that the largely tactical, administrative functions become a relic of the past. Moving forward, success must be defined in commercial terms, and building the capabilities of the workforce so that they can deliver and support the achievement of the business strategies.
This session will review data about the HRBPs and their role which has been collected over the past 2 years. The webinar will address the challenge of focusing on what matters most to the business, and how to prioritize changes, including:
- Understanding the opportunities that HR have to make a real business impact during 2023 and beyond, based upon data about their current job focus.
- Defining what success within the evolving HR Business Partner (HRBP) role looks like.
